Tyler Mathews, a junior at Red Mountain High in Arizona, placed second in the boys invitational 800 meters in 1:49.32 at the 55th Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High in California. Mathews eclipsed the Arizona all-time prep mark of 1:50.12 achieved last season by Brian Fair of South Mountain.
